Hi, I’m Jay!
Maybe you want to learn a new instrument. Maybe you’ve always had songs in your head and want to get them out. Maybe you have a big audition coming up and want some help. Whatever your goals– I want to help you achieve them!
After over a decade of teaching, I've gone virtual! While I'm still available for in-person lessons at my residence in San Francisco, I'm now happy to offer my services online for students of all ages– and locations!

What to expect
Dream it
Through consultation and ongoing conversation, we put YOUR goals in the driver seat (no matter how big or small).
Map It
Using real, tangible objectives, we build a road map for your progression on any given piece or goal.
Build it
During lessons we work on both musicality and technicality in the approach to your music making…and have fun doing it!
Each session reviews what the student has prepared, and provides goals for the student to achieve by the following lesson. Lessons are run through Zoom or Google Meets if virtual. While an instrument or screen-sharing work is helpful, they are not required. Sliding scale is available upon request.
Lessons rate is $30 per half hour, $45 per hour with a weekly or bi-weekly option. 4 or 8 week gifted lessons available– inquire via contact.
